World Book Day

With working in a primary school World Book Day was a big day for us all - the children had the opportunity to dress up as a book character as well as the teachers. Therefore I dressed up as a dog from 101 Dalmations - wearing a onesie all day was pure perfection!

There is a range of books available this year supporting World Book Day which are free if you have a World Book Day token, which I did! Having two I got two different books (shown in photo below) which I have added to my children's book collection ready for when I qualify as a teacher.

*Photos unavailable, apologies*

I chose 'The Dinosaur That Pooped A Lot' (mainly because of the authors being out of McBusted) by Tom Fletcher & Dougie Poynter & 'Elmer's Parade' by David McKee. With many others to choose from which you can find in your local W H Smiths, Waterstones or ASDA stores - or on the World Book Day website.

Both of these books have a great story line and theme to the story. 'The Disnosaur That Pooped A Lot' is especially good, as it has ryhming in it and is very humours which is the main reason behind why it was written by Tom & Dougie.

Having the chance to get free books for young children is wonderful - especially for those less fortunate families, which are noticed more when you work in an education setting. Reading books to young children is one of the best ways for them to learn day-to-day situations, and life experiences. However old you are, you'll always enjoy listening to a story!

Did you dress up for World Book Day? Have you collected any of this years World Book Day books? ❤️
