Healthy Hair

One of the wishes I do have is to have long thick hair sometime within my life time - preferably in the next couple of years. Therefore I am willing to try many different methods of ensuring that my hair is kept looking healthy to help it grow.

Here a few things I do to try encourage my hair to grow (even if it seems to be taking forever)

The main 'must do' to enourage your hair to grow is have a good trim every 6-8 weeks, as well as reducing the amount of direct heat to your hair (e.g. hair dryer and straighteners).

Creaseless Hair Ties are something I have also recently began using. My friend made some home made creaseless ties for me around Christmas time out of various coloured and patterned elastic which are fab for everyday wear - however I find that they're only really suitable for pony tails, as the don't grip my hair enough for buns etc. However I have also invested in some Invisibobbles which you can purchase from Feel Unique for £3.75 (contains 3). I find these much more suitable for bun hair styles as they have a firmer grip on the hair to ensure it is held in place. When I first discovered Invisibobbles I thought they would be difficult to remove from your hair, however they are easier to remove than normal hair bobbles - as they just slide down your hair and unravel. They are also available in a variety of colours, however I chose dark brown to blend in with my hair colour.

I have found that using these type of hair ties it doesn't break off the ends of my hair as frequently. Don't get my wrong it still pulls a little of your hair out when removing the ties, however reduces the amount compared to using normal ties.

I am also trying to get my hands on the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment Mask. I have heard good reviews of this product and therefore thought I would try it myself. You can purchase it from Boots stores for £8.49 (it is also available on 3 for 2) however is currently sold out. I will review this product when I have managed to purchase it and results are showing.

Have you used any products or techniques to enourage hair growth? ❤️
