Summer Holiday

As you've all probably noticed I haven't wrote a blog for over 2 weeks now, this is due to being away on holiday. I went to a hotel called Panorama in Corfu for 11 days with my family and friends. There was 10 of us altogether who hadn't all been on holiday together before but I wouldn't have changed anything what so ever - it was a great holiday and many memories are to be remembered! The reason behind us all going on holiday together was to celebrate my mum & dads 25th Wedding Anniversary.

We flew out from Birmingham Airport to Corfu on Monday 11th August, but before flying I got my priorities right and looked round Duty Free. I purchased some perfume which I had been wanting to buy for a couple of weeks before hand..

..it is a beautiful smell!! It was around £35 which I thought was a reasonable price for the 25ml bottle. We then had breakfast in the Wetherspoons, I had a bacon sandwich the same as my mother and the rest of my family had big breakfasts (which in the end I wish I had done the same). It was then time to board the plane!!..

We flew at around 7.20am and arrived in Corfu 12.30pm in their time (2 hours infront of the UK). We arrived at our hotel about 3pm and sorted ourselves out, went to the swimming pool and began our relaxing 11 day holiday!

On the Tuesday we spent the day at the beach, sunbathing and swimming in the sea. While myself and my sister-in-law to be were sunbathing we got approached by a local worker whom was selling bracelets. We ended up both having one made for us to have as an anklet.
On the Wednesday we went on a complimentary trip to the local waterpark from Thomas Cook because of complications when we arrived. However overall it was an enjoyable day! We all went on various rides with and without rubber rings, here is me and my family friend Beth on one of the rides..

The evening after the waterpark I decided to relive my childhood and have a hair braid done - I had said before going that I was going to have one done and a few evenings previous to having it done I noticed a lady down the strip doing them for people. It was €10 for a braid of your choice which I didn't think was too bad..

Throughout the holiday we visited many different bars and restaurants such as Cargo Bar, Talk of the Town, The Madison Bar, 1 for the Road and Cactus Jacks. We all consumed various drinks and cocktails throughout the holiday which were defiantly enjoyable!! Here are a few of the cocktails I had while out in the evenings, and lets say I've been put off sambuca for a longg time seens as every drink you bought you got a few shot of sambuca..

..and here is the meal I had on the night before we left, it was at Cargo bar. It was the Mega Burger meal with Chips & Coleslaw. Absolutely delicious!

..but it defiantly defeated me, I couldn't manage it all!

Overall the whole holiday was brilliant, it was nice for us all to enjoy a holiday together which hadn't ever happened before. Shame to be home but it's always nice to come home to your own comforts as well. I'd like to think we have all came home with lovely tans - but now it's back to reality!! A big thankyou to my parents for the invitation to join them on the holiday with everyone else!

Have you been anywhere nice this summer? Or got any suggestions of nice places where I could visit next summer? If so please leave your comments and suggestions ❤️
