That has been one tricky hour!!
Weighing myself this morning and being a little heavier than I wished to see, I made the decision that it was time to get back into the routine of the gym. Over the winter period it's always hard to get motivated to go back out after work, especially to do exercise. With it becoming lighter nights i'm hoping it'll be a little easier to pick up some motivation - ready for that 'beach bod'.
However, once I get there it isn't all that bad - its sometimes just on the busy side which isn't always ideal when wanting to use a variety of exercise machines. I go to a local gym in my hometown of Boston called Geoff Moulder - with being a student at the local college it only costs me £20 a month which I think is ideal. This includes the gym, fitness classes, suana, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool - bargin to be honest!!
If your interested in joining a local gym I would definitely see what all of the different deals are at the different gyms, making sure you get the deal which suits you best!
My Top Tips:
1. Warm up is one of the key things to do when you first get to the gym, before getting on any machines. Helps prevent any gym injuries occuring.
2. Drinking water to keep hydrated, as sweating causes dehydration in the body.
3. Company can sometimes be supportive for new gym memories to motivate and encourage you.
4. Attire is also important as you want your clothing to be comfortable while working out. Nothing too tight or too loose - I definitely suggest sports bras ladies!!
