Half Term Happiness.

I began my half term not feeling 100% had previously been ill off work for 4 days, but i've thankfully pulled through!

Saturday 14th Febuary

Valentines day being the first day of half term; however I began the day by meeting my friend Shannon uptown for a Costa coffee & a catch up! But that evening Tom bought round a gift of 12 red roses which sure did put a BIG smile on my face. We also went for a meal a Frankie & Benny's at Spalding, near Boston. It was a delicious meal & I never think its too over priced, however this didn't matter with it being a special occassion! ❤️

If your planning on going to a F&B's for a meal, download the app & go to the 'promotional offers' - it'll bring up the voucher of the month which is curreny £5 off your food bill which is definitely worth having!

Sunday 15th February

Sunday's are called for being lazy and restful days as per usual, however Tom and I decided to go on a bike ride - enxed up biking nearly 5 miles! Biking is definitely an enjoyable way of exercing I always think! We also did some baking together of some fairy cakes with vanilla buttercream and sprinkles. Mmmmm!

Monday 16th February

A good catch up was called for with my friend Laura on the Monday, again it was a visit to Costa. A vanilla latte with a ham and cheese toastie for just over £5 which I don't think is bad for a good lunch (shown in picture below). We had a good catch up, about everything and anything as per usual ..and then a walk round town both making a few purchases!

However when I got home it was time to crack on with some of my uni assignment writing which is far from thrilling! But never mind - it was quite a successful afternoon, completed a 1000 word essay. So only 1 more to go ..hopefully before Thursday! (Dedication ay?)

Tuesday 17th February

A relaxing day today: Pancake Day, had no real plans - did some more uni work, mainly planning & writing my last assignment. Wrapped Thomas's Birthday Presents, which isn't too far away now - Eeekk! :) ..Had pancakes for tea, only managed 2!! Then in the evening visited Thomas ❤️

Don't Thomas's presents look pretty ..and a perfect pancake with sugar sprinkled all over it flipped by Dad! :)

Wednesday 18th February

Me & mother spent the majority of the day today - had lunch at the local garden centre called Johnsons. Both had a latte, mine being vanilla and a scone each (warm with butter). YUM! Did some shopping - treated myself to a new bikini for my summer holiday (in the picture below), and then went to visit my great nanna in her care home - she wasn't too well bless her heart! Then my evening was spent with Thomas, the beginning of our 10 day sleepover ❤️

Thursday 19th February

Tom & I went to Lincoln to stay with his Aunt for the evening, however couldn't go to Lincoln without having a shopping spree. So thats what we did, and I can say it was successful..

..here is what I treated myself to. A clutch back from New Look, as well as the flowery iPhone 5 case. Granny takes a dip bath bomb from Lush which smells devine, I also paid £1 to charity and received a charity pot of hand and body moisturiser which actually smells nice - would happily buy the proper product in the future! A statement necklace and some frilly socks from Dorothy Perkins, which overall was a bargin with their current 25% off for card holders or generally 20% off - love a good bargin! (Proven by getting home & purchasing more offline with 25% off, oops!!) A jacket from H&M which will be lovely to be able to wear in the spring time. Another necklace (gold at the bottom) only £3 from Primark, which I thought would be ideal to just put on & wear - a finishing touch to an outfit. Finally a 'to do list' notepad (I HAVE to stay organised, haha) from Home Sense which is a place that has loads of lovely home accessories in, could definitely have spent a fortune in there!!

After a successful afternoon shopping, Tom & I went back to his Aunts to relax. & then went for a meal at Damon's Restaurant which was absolutely devine - however we were both far too full by the time had finished. Also a bit tipsy with the amount of cosmopolitans we'd had, oops!

Friday 20th February

Overall it was a lovely couple of days with Tom & nice to stay over the evening, spending some quality time with his Aunt!

Home it then was, spent the afternoon at home with Tom & the rest of my family - with a Chinese for tea, just a day later Chinese New Year. Haha!

Saturday 21st February

Saturday was time to say goodbye to my parents, who have flown away to Gran Caneria for a week - therefore Tom is moving in with me for a week.. apart from that it wasn't really much of an exciting day, just a relaxing one!

It is also the day to celebrate Tom & I being together for 4 months, which is absolutely crazy to how fast times going - but then we were saying it feels AGES ago since we went on our first date ❤️

Sunday 22nd February

A relaxing morning me and Thomas had at his, then got his things together to come to mine. Did some shopping at Asda to help us through the week - as he is staying with me for the week while my parents are away. Perfect I say!

Had a baking session of white & milk chocolate chip shortbread, but it was a complete failure! Haha -

..really haven't got any idea of why they went a little wrong. This photo does then kind of a little bit of justice. A bit too crunchy for my liking, ooops!! However Thomas did make me a lovely dinner, bacon with melted cheese in fried eggy bread. Delcious!! ❤️

Would happily eat it all over again!! Other than that it's just generally been a relaxing Sunday. Back to reality tomorrow with work - but on the positive side, 5 more weeks & then we'll be breaking up for 2 weeks off for easter! :)

A wonderful half term it's been. Busy here & there, but been lovely to relax too! Have you had a nice half term? Done anything exciting that you'd like to share? ❤️
